2nd Street Festival - Already Richmond

2nd Street Festival

The 2nd Street Festival is back again in Jackson Ward for the 35th year! The two day event brings together thousands to celebrate the music, styles, food, and vibes of the Historic African American community that has called Jackson Ward home for decades.

We went out for day one of the event and had a great time. The rain gave way right in time for the first performers to take the stage revealing a beautiful sunny weather for the event. The energy was infectious as everyone danced and celebrated the culture with each other.

Some of Richmond’s favorite Black owner businesses, such as Mama J’s and Corker Spot were vendors at the 2nd Street Festival. Music included the Aubrey Smalls Quartet and Headliners the Average White Band and The Marvin Taylor Experience. The festival also featured the Richmond Metropolitan Antique Car Club and the Artist Row where festival goers are encouraged to shop local artist creations.

Join us at the 2nd Street Festival for day two tomorrow, October 7th, for another day full of music and soul in Historic Jackson Ward. Headliners will include I Would Die 4 U: A Musical Tribute to PRINCE and Nathan Mitchel so don't miss out!
