Richmond is now home to a new women's pre-professional soccer team and we are SO excited! Last night, the team name and crest were revealed for Richmond’s USL W soccer team: The Richmond Ivy Soccer Club. We’re already obsessed!
Members of the Richmond Ivy 2024 Founder’s Club were invited to a brand launch event at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, where the team was introduced and their brand ethos was explained. The Richmond Ivy SC crest is inspired by the twisting vines that are found all over the city, the seven great hills of Richmond, the 11 players on the pitch, and of course the James River. As the Ivy grows from the bottom right of the crest to the top left, it represents the ever growing spirit of our city - the team hopes to reflect this as they begin their first season on May 11th.
